The jury for the international open nomination of the PhotoArtDoc 2026 festival has been announced. This year, submitted projects will be evaluated by experts in modern photography – practicing photographers, curators, and researchers.
Tatsiana Chypsanava (New Zealand) — documentary photographer, winner of PhotoArtDoc 2024 and World Press Photo 2025 contests. In her practice, she focuses on indigenous rights, migration, and environmental issues. A member of professional associations Diversify Photo, Women Photograph, and VII. Her projects have been recognized with grants from the Pulitzer Center, the Wellcome Trust, and Vital Impacts foundations. She regularly collaborates with The New York Times and New Zealand Geographic.
Michael Grieve (Germany/Greece) — photographer, lecturer, publisher, and founder of the Berlin school for documentary photography, Werkstatt:, as well as the ArtFotoMode platform. Previously, he was the deputy editor-in-chief of the influential magazine 1000 Words, a lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and the Ostkreuz School of Photography. He writes for the British Journal of Photography and runs the publishing house Werkstatt: Editions.
Tadas Kazakevičius (Lithuania) - a documentary and editorial photographer, winner of World Press Photo, Leica Oskar Barnack Award, ZEISS, and LensCulture. His focus is on humanistic photography and personal stories. His works have been exhibited in Europe, Asia, and North America and published in the British Journal of Photography.
Adam Mazur (Poland) — art critic, art historian, curator, and lecturer at the University of the Arts in Poznań. Co-founder of Szum magazine and former curator at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw. Author of the seminal study «The Maimed World: A History of Photography in Central Europe 1838–2018.» As part of the «Photo Club» project (together with Łukasz Gorczyca), he is researching the history and contemporary trends of photobook publishing in Poland and Central Europe.
Kateryna Radchenko (Ukraine) - curator, photography researcher, and founder of the international festival Odesa Photo Days. In 2023, she chaired the jury of the European region of World Press Photo. She collaborates with Magnum Photos and Magnum Foundation, creating large-scale exhibition projects in Europe, Asia, and the USA. She is the author of numerous publications in the international press (Fotograf, EIKON, FOAM Magazine, Magenta, TRIGGER, British Journal of Photography, etc.).
