PhotoArtDoc 2024 - the contest shortlist has been announced in both categories

The shortlists for both nominations of the documentary and art photography festival PhotoArtDoc 2024 have been announced.

More than 230 projects from authors from 40 countries took part in the open nomination this year. 22 projects were submitted to the closed nomination for participants of the festival's mentoring program.

Both jury panels carried out extensive and thorough work to evaluate the submitted projects and select the shortlist. The jury for the closed nomination included Belarusian art critics, curators and journalists.

Closed nomination - shortlist

The closed nomination included projects by Belarusian photographers who took part in the festival's mentoring program. In this nomination, authors were given the opportunity to present their works under a pseudonym. The shortlist included projects (in alphabetical order)

Open nomination - shortlist

Due to the large number of applications for the open nomination, the jury members conducted the selection in several stages. As a result, 11 projects were included in the competition shortlist:

After the final discussion and approval of the results in both nominations, the results of the contest will be announced.
